BOOKS & MAPS - hot off the press !
Fodor's have guided many people around the
world, and 2012 is no exception. Full of colour and tips from the
experts themselves, these guidebooks will certainly help you to make the
most of your holiday. The snapshots of city lights and white beaches are great inspiration for us, in addition to the fact that Fodor's have been one of the leaders in the travel industry since 1957. Arthur Frommer produced a guide to Europe for GI's (we have a copy is our special collection!) which was later adapted to 'Europe on $5 a day' - ring a bell for some of you early travellers?

Have you been on a holiday, being shown a beautiful part of the world, and you've actually forgotten the name of where you are and where you are going? Don't worry, it happens to the best of us, especially when we are on a tour. Make life easier for yourself by bringing along a map to review before you go to bed each night or as you wake up in the morning. And as a local (Vancouver) map printer we are big supporters of ITMB. Check out their latest release-a waterproofed Costa Rica!
The most recent publication for Myanmar (Burma) is from Lonely Planet. Including 65 maps, At-a-glance practical info and an Easy-to-read layout, these 407 pages are gold worthy for this part of the world. With a special feature on Aung San Suu Kyi, travellers with this book will be informed and inspired.

* Is one of your New Years resolutions to learn more about the history of the world as you travel in it? This soft cover reference tool with removable wall poster, covers 3000 years of global facts relating to science, culture, religion and politics. The 'World History Chart' is to be viewed like a painting and is already in use in many classrooms and humanities departments. Further information on the background and author can be found at www.hyperhistory.com
